This is a breed currently in development, originating in
California in the 1990s. It has been developed from bantam frizzled Cochins,
Silkies, and large non-Standard Easter Egg layers, primarily as an ornamental
layer and pet, with excellent brooding and mothering skills. The tameness and
calm disposition of this breed are some of its most important characteristics,
making it ideal for the small family flock.

Feathering, Male and Female:

tendency to curve and curl backward or upward at the ends, this curving at the
ends being most noticeable in the hackle and saddle feathers, but the more that
all he feathers are curved, the better. Feathers curving upward an the neck and
back of the head, to be encouraged.
