This is the second hat I've
made from my own sheep; the first hat (not shown) was a gift for my
grandfather, & was made from moorit lambswool, from a ewe named
Audrey. This hat was made from a grey wether named Charm. He was lambed
here, part of a set of triplets, & this fleece is from the first time
I sheared him. I washed, carded, spun, plied, & crocheted some of his
fleece into this hat. I plan to make a matching scarf, & hope to try
other items this summer as soon as I get more yarn spun, such as socks
& a sweater.
I plan to add more links & suggestions to this
page, as I find resources that are helpful to the home spinner &
craftsperson. |
